Magnemite is a seemingly robotic Pokémon with a gray, spherical metal body, featuring blue-and-red tipped horseshoe magnets on each side and a single, large eye. It has three Phillips head screws on its body: two near the bottom and one on top of its head resembling an antenna. Despite its mechanical appearance, Magnemite has emotions and can reproduce as shown in the Pokémon series. It levitates by emitting electromagnetic waves from the units at its sides, which block gravity and allow it to float. The magnetic units generate stronger fields the faster they rotate. Magnemite feeds primarily on electrical currents and is often found attached to power lines or in locations with strong magnetic fields like power plants and caves. Interestingly, despite its modern appearance, carvings of Magnemite have been discovered in the Ruins of Alph, and it has existed for at least 3,000 years according to AZ's retelling of the Kalos war. When wild Magnemite approach Trainers, they typically do so with little warning and may flee if approached, as they don't particularly care for interaction. Magnemite has been known to cause power outages when gathering in large numbers at power plants.

Evolution
Magnemite evolves into Magneton at level 30, which further evolves into Magnezone when leveled up in a Magnetic Field area or by using a Thunder Stone in Generation 8 and beyond.
