Octillery is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Known as the Jet Pokémon, it evolves from Remoraid starting at level 25. Octillery is a red, cephalopod-like creature with large, round eyes and a turret-like mouth. It has yellow bumps on its rock-hard head and yellow suction cups on each of its eight tentacles. These suction cups give it strong gripping power, making it very difficult to be blown away.
Octillery is known for its relaxed nature and love of attention from its Trainer. In the wild, it can be quite stubborn and has a tendency to want to be in holes, preferring rock crags or pots. It instinctively sneaks into rocky holes and may even steal the nest of a fellow Octillery if it gets sleepy. When threatened, Octillery spits a special ink that contains substances that dull the sense of smell, allowing it to protect itself and its young from danger.
Interestingly, Octillery's ink is not only used for defense but also as a cooking ingredient. Its ability to spray ink from its mouth before attacking makes it a formidable opponent. For a long time, people refused to believe that Octillery evolved from Remoraid due to their extreme physical differences.

Habits
Octillery loves to lurk inside holes in rocks and sometimes sprays ink on prey by sticking out only its mouth. It lives in the gaps of boulders and in holes on the seafloor, using its suction cups to grip prey tightly.
Additions Across Generations
In Generation 3, Octillery did not have the Sniper ability. Its hidden ability, Moody, was introduced in later generations. The base experience yield and base Friendship value have also changed across different generations.
