Jumpluff is a dual-type Grass/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is the final evolution of Hoppip, evolving from Skiploom at level 27. Known as the Cottonweed Pokémon, Jumpluff is characterized by its round, blue body with red eyes and three large cotton puffs attached to it. These puffs allow Jumpluff to float on air currents, traveling great distances on seasonal winds.

Jumpluff's unique ability to ride warm southern winds enables it to cross seas and reach foreign lands. However, when it encounters cold air currents while floating, it descends to the ground. The Pokémon's journey, and ultimately its life, comes to an end once its cotton spores run out. Jumpluff's cotton spores serve a dual purpose: they aid in its flight and are used to create offspring.

Trainers should be cautious of Jumpluff's cotton spores, as accidentally inhaling them can cause coughing fits and itchiness. Despite its delicate appearance, Jumpluff can control its flight even in hurricane conditions, showcasing its mastery over air currents. It is commonly sighted above open temperate grasslands.
