Croconaw is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Known as the Big Jaw Pokémon, it is the evolved form of Totodile and the pre-evolved form of Feraligatr. Croconaw is a bipedal, crocodilian creature with a blue body and cream-colored underbelly. It has well-developed jaws with two visible fangs in the lower jaw. Croconaw's most distinctive feature is its set of 48 fangs that line its mouth. These fangs are constantly growing and being replaced, allowing Croconaw to maintain its powerful bite. The tips of its fangs are slanted backward, similar to barbed fishhooks, making them nearly impossible to remove once they've sunk into prey. Croconaw is known for its incredibly strong grip; once it clamps down on something, it absolutely won't let go. This Pokémon is also notable for its ability to store electricity in electric sacs on its cheeks, using its tail to ground excess charge.

Habits
Croconaw lives in small groups in forests but tends to stay hidden. It is known to be stubborn and wary of strangers. In Pokémon Sleep, it's revealed that Croconaw and its evolutionary relatives practice unihemispheric sleep, resting only half of their brain at a time and keeping one eye open to watch for potential threats.
