Scizor is a Bug/Steel-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Scyther when traded while holding a Metal Coat. Scizor has a distinctive red, metallic exoskeleton that resembles an insect with large, eye-patterned pincers. These pincers account for about one-third of Scizor's body weight and are strong enough to crush boulders. Despite its appearance, Scizor cannot fly. Instead, it uses its wings to regulate its body temperature, preventing it from overheating during battle. Scizor's body is incredibly hard, comparable to steel, making it resistant to many types of attacks. It uses its eye-patterned pincers to intimidate foes, creating the illusion of having three heads. In battle, Scizor is known for its incredible speed and power, often striking opponents as fast as bullets.
