Igglybuff is a small, balloon-like Pokémon with a completely pink body. It has a rounded tuft of hair on top of its head, a small swirl-like pattern on its forehead, and red eyes. Igglybuff's body is extremely soft, elastic, and bouncy, allowing it to move by bouncing rather than walking. This unique method of locomotion can sometimes be difficult to control, as once Igglybuff starts bouncing, it may become impossible to stop.
Igglybuff's body emits a faintly sweet fragrance that has a calming effect on its foes. Although it has singing abilities, its vocal cords are not fully developed, which can lead to a sore throat if it sings too much. Igglybuff often gargles with freshwater from clean streams to soothe its throat. When the temperature rises or when Igglybuff sings continuously, its body can turn a deeper shade of pink.
