Golbat is a dual-type Poison/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Zubat starting at level 22 and evolves into Crobat when leveled up with high friendship. This bat-like Pokémon is known for its large mouth with four sharp fangs, which it uses to bite and suck blood from its prey. Golbat is nocturnal and becomes particularly active on dark, moonless nights. It can consume over 10 ounces of blood in one gulp, sometimes drinking so much that it becomes too heavy to fly.
Interestingly, Golbat's fangs are hollow like straws, making them unexpectedly fragile. There are instances where Golbat has missing fangs due to attempting to bite Steel-type Pokémon. Despite its fearsome appearance, Golbat is known to share gathered blood with hungry members of its kind. In some cases, Golbat has been observed using Supersonic to produce a magic mirror in its mouth for scrying and seeing things from a distance.
