Flaaffy is an Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is known as the Wool Pokémon and is the evolved form of Mareep. Flaaffy's most distinctive feature is its pink, bipedal ovine body covered in a white mane of wool. This Pokémon has the unique ability to store electricity in its fluffy fleece, which can cause it to go bald in patches if it stores too much. Interestingly, the bare parts of its hide are rubbery and don't conduct electricity, making those spots safe to touch.
Flaaffy's tail is particularly noteworthy, featuring black stripes and a blue orb at the tip. This orb lights up when Flaaffy's mane is fully charged with electricity. As a defense mechanism, Flaaffy can fire electrified hairs at its opponents. Its wool quality changes to generate a high amount of static electricity with a small amount of wool, making it an efficient electricity storage unit.

Flaaffy evolves from Mareep at level 15 and evolves into Ampharos at level 30.

Flaaffy typically inhabits grassy meadows and fields, though it can also be found on farms where its wool is used to create high-quality clothing. In Pokémon Sleep, it's mentioned that on rare occasions, a sleeping Flaaffy's tail can be seen lighting up after being fully charged. The quality of Flaaffy's fleece can change to generate more electricity with less wool, showcasing its adaptability.
