Diglett is a small, brown Ground-type Pokémon that appears to be perpetually buried in the earth, with only its head visible. It has beady black eyes and a large, round, pink nose. Despite its small stature, Diglett is known for its impressive burrowing abilities and plays a significant role in soil cultivation.
This Pokémon lives about one yard underground, where it feeds on plant roots and sometimes appears aboveground. Diglett's skin is very thin, making it sensitive to light. If exposed to sunlight, its blood heats up, causing it to grow weak. Farmers have a complex relationship with Diglett; while some consider it a pest for eating their vegetables, others welcome it because it tills their fields and its droppings enrich the soil.
Interestingly, Diglett is known to have feet, though their size and appearance remain a mystery. In Alola, Diglett has developed a regional form with three fine gold whiskers on its head, which function as sensors and allow it to monitor its surroundings without surfacing.

Habits
Diglett spends most of its time underground, creating tunnels and feeding on plant roots. It's known to live in burrows left behind by Onix and has even been shown to live inside trees. As mentioned in Pokémon Sleep, Diglett is known to sleep underground during the night, and seeing a Diglett asleep above ground is considered to be good luck.
