Victreebel is a Grass/Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is the final evolution of Bellsprout, evolving from Weepinbell when exposed to a Leaf Stone. Victreebel has a distinctive bell-shaped body with a gaping mouth, pink lips, and two sharp teeth. Its semicircular eyes appear directly under its mouth, and it has several dark green spots on its body. On either side of its body is a large green leaf, and covering its mouth is another leaf with a long, brown, yellow-tipped vine growing out of it.
This Pokémon is known for its unique hunting strategy. It uses its long vine to mimic an animal and attract prey, while also producing a sweet scent to further lure victims. The acid in Victreebel's mouth, which has dissolved numerous prey animals, becomes sweeter and even more effective at attracting prey over time. Victreebel can be found in small groups and is territorial. In the wild, it is rarely encountered as it is the result of evolution via a Leaf Stone, but it can sometimes be found in temperate forests and jungles.
Interestingly, Victreebel has been observed sleeping with its mouth open to draw in prey. On rare occasions, it may forget about luring prey and instead choose to sleep face down. In the Pokémon manga, Victreebel has been depicted hoarding food, usually small birds and rodents, and collecting Leaf Stones to perform evolution rituals at night to help Weepinbell evolve.
