Rhydon is a large, bipedal Pokémon with features resembling both dinosaurs and rhinoceroses. It has a horn on its snout that serves as a powerful drill, capable of boring through solid rock and even shattering diamonds. Rhydon's body is covered in a tough, armor-like hide that can withstand extreme temperatures, allowing it to survive in streams of magma as hot as 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit. This protective hide also makes Rhydon highly resistant to physical attacks, with even direct cannon fire unable to leave a scratch.
Rhydon's evolution from Rhyhorn marks a significant change in its physiology and intelligence. Standing on its hind legs freed up its forelegs and led to increased brain development. However, despite this cognitive advancement, Rhydon is known to be quite forgetful. It uses its powerful tail for both offense and defense, with a single sweeping blow capable of toppling buildings.
