Remoraid is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Known as the "Jet Pokémon," it has a unique appearance resembling a combination of a fish and a handgun. Remoraid is well-known for its exceptional accuracy in shooting water from its mouth, capable of hitting moving targets from over 300 feet away. This remarkable ability has earned it the nickname "sniper of the seas".

One of Remoraid's most interesting behaviors is its symbiotic relationship with Mantine. It often attaches itself to Mantine's underside using its dorsal fin as a suction pad, feeding on the larger Pokémon's leftovers. This adaptation helps Remoraid avoid predators and share in Mantine's prosperity. Interestingly, Remoraid will even fight alongside Mantine if it's attacked, showcasing a unique form of mutualism in the Pokémon world.

Remoraid's evolution is quite surprising. Despite its fish-like appearance, it evolves into Octillery, an octopus-like Pokémon, at level 25. This drastic change in form has puzzled researchers for a long time. Additionally, Remoraid plays a crucial role in Mantyke's evolution, as a Mantyke will only evolve into Mantine if a Remoraid is present in the party.
