Kangaskhan is a large, bipedal marsupial Pokémon that resembles a kangaroo. It is known as the Parent Pokémon due to its distinctive feature of carrying a baby in its pouch. This Normal-type Pokémon was introduced in Generation I and has remained a fan favorite due to its unique design and maternal nature. Kangaskhan is renowned for its fierce protectiveness towards its young, often risking its own life to defend its offspring.

Interestingly, Kangaskhan is a female-only species with no known male counterpart. The baby Kangaskhan in its pouch is purple in color, contrasting with the adult's brown hide. In Generation VI, Kangaskhan gained the ability to Mega Evolve, which causes its baby to temporarily grow and fight alongside its mother.
