Jigglypuff is a dual-type Normal/Fairy Pokémon introduced in Generation I. Known as the Balloon Pokémon, it has a spherical, pink body with large blue eyes and pointed ears. Jigglypuff's most notable ability is its capacity to inflate its body with air, allowing it to float and sing for extended periods. Its signature move is its soothing lullaby, which can put any listener to sleep. Interestingly, Jigglypuff becomes frustrated when its audience falls asleep and often doodles on their faces with its microphone-like marker.
This Pokémon's vocal cords can freely adjust the wavelength of its voice, enabling it to sing at precisely the right frequency to induce drowsiness in its foes. Jigglypuff's singing ability is so potent that it never pauses to breathe during a performance, which can be dangerous if facing an opponent resistant to sleep. Evolutions

In Generation VI, Jigglypuff gained the Fairy type, making it a dual-type Normal/Fairy Pokémon. This change improved its resistances and added new strengths and weaknesses to its battling capabilities. The addition of the Fairy type also gave Jigglypuff access to new moves and strategies in battle.
