Granbull is a Fairy-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Snubbull starting at level 23. Despite its intimidating appearance with large fangs and a muscular build, Granbull is actually quite timid and easily spooked. Its well-developed lower jaw and heavy fangs are its primary weapons, but it rarely bites unless provoked. The enormous fangs are so heavy that Granbull often keeps its head tilted down for balance.
Interestingly, Granbull can make most Pokémon run away simply by opening its mouth wide to reveal its big fangs. This contrast between its fierce looks and timid nature makes it popular among young people. While Granbull has powerful jaws, it doesn't care for disputes, so it rarely has a chance to display their might. Due to its sensitive nature, Granbull is considered incompetent as a watchdog despite its appearance.
Prior to Generation VI, Granbull was a Normal-type Pokémon, but it was changed to Fairy-type with the introduction of the new type. This change significantly altered its strengths and weaknesses in battle. Granbull's Intimidate ability allows it to lower opponents' Attack when entering battle, making it a useful Pokémon for defensive strategies.
