Bellossom is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Gloom when exposed to a Sun Stone, making it one of Oddish's final forms alongside Vileplume. Bellossom is known for its cheerful appearance and vibrant colors, with a design inspired by hula dancers. Unlike many Grass-type Pokémon, Bellossom loses its Poison-type upon evolving from Gloom, becoming a pure Grass-type. This change gives Bellossom a different set of strengths and weaknesses in battles.
Bellossom's most distinctive feature is its skirt made of red and yellow petals, which becomes more beautiful after rainy days. It has large, red eyes and a cheerful expression, standing at 1 foot 4 inches tall and weighing 12.8 pounds. Bellossom is known to dance in the sunlight, absorbing energy from the sun. Its dance is said to bring good luck and happiness, and when performed in groups, Bellossom can create synchronized dances.
