Piloswine is a dual-type Ice/Ground Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is a large, furry porcine creature with an impressive hump on its back and two small tusks made of ice. These tusks thicken when it snows and are used to dig up food buried beneath snow and ice. Piloswine's entire body is covered by a thick coat of long hair, which enables it to endure freezing cold environments such as icy caves, mountainous regions, and frozen tundra. This shaggy coat often obscures its sight, covering its eyes, ears, and even limbs. As a result, Piloswine relies heavily on its sensitive pig-like nose to check its surroundings, often charging repeatedly at foes when it moves. Despite its short legs, Piloswine's rugged hooves prevent it from slipping on icy ground. It is known for its excellent sense of smell, allowing it to find food such as mushrooms buried under frozen ground.
