Lanturn is a dual-type Water/Electric Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Known as the Light Pokémon, it resembles an anglerfish with a blue body and glowing orbs on its antenna. These orbs contain bioluminescent bacteria that produce light by absorbing Lanturn's bodily fluids. Lanturn uses this light to lure and blind its prey before swallowing them whole. It can illuminate the sea's surface from depths of over three miles, earning it the nickname "The Deep-Sea Star". Lanturn competes with Lumineon for prey and is hunted by Frillish and Sharpedo in the wild.
