Magby is a small, bipedal Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Its body is primarily red with a yellow, flame-shaped marking on its stomach. Magby's most distinctive feature is its duck-like beak and a single spike on its back. This Pokémon is known for its incredibly high body temperature, which can reach up to 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit (600°C). Magby's health can be determined by observing the flames it breathes; yellow flames indicate good health, while flames mixed with black smoke suggest fatigue.

Interestingly, Magby's blood is described as magma-like, circulating throughout its body and contributing to its extreme heat. When Magby becomes excited or surprised, flames may leak from its mouth and nose. Despite its small size, Magby is capable of breathing flames at temperatures of 600°C, making it a formidable Fire-type despite its pre-evolved status.
