Slowbro is a Water/Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Slowpoke at level 37 and is one of Slowpoke's final forms, alongside Slowking. Slowbro's most distinctive feature is the Shellder attached to its tail, which triggered its evolution from Slowpoke. This symbiotic relationship between Slowbro and Shellder is unique in the Pokémon world. The Shellder's bite releases a hormone that triggers Slowbro's evolution, causing it to stand upright and become more intelligent, albeit still rather dim-witted.

Interestingly, if the Shellder is detached from Slowbro's tail, it will revert to its Slowpoke form. The Shellder attached to Slowbro's tail has evolved into a spiral-shaped shell, different from a regular Shellder, due to the sweet flavors it constantly sucks from Slowbro's tail. This arrangement benefits both Pokémon, with Shellder gaining sustenance and Slowbro gaining increased intelligence and power.

Habits

Slowbro is known for its laid-back nature and tendency to space out while gazing at the sea. Despite its increased intelligence compared to Slowpoke, it remains rather absent-minded. Slowbro is capable of using its psychic powers in battle, but it prefers a peaceful existence.

Additions Across Generations

Generation II: Slowbro gained the ability to evolve into Slowking when traded while holding a King's Rock.
Generation VI: Slowbro received a Mega Evolution form, Mega Slowbro, with increased defensive capabilities.
Generation VIII: Slowbro received a Galarian form, changing its type to Poison/Psychic and gaining a new ability, Quick Draw.
